Origins: Family Experiences of Premarital Couples
Specifically written for PREPARE/ENRICH facilitators, this book examines the different types of premarital couples occurring in a large national sample of Australia Couples participating in the PREPARE/ENRICH program.
The study identifies and explores the main differences between highly satisfied (vitalised) and more troubled (conflicted) premarital couples.
The book identifies a link between negative experiences within family of origin in the past and present difficulties in couple relationships.
It goes on to explore the practical implications of these findings when working with conflicted premarital couples.
This study represents the drawing together of trends and patterns identified in data from over 1,000 individuals, and identified important areas for work with conflicted premarital couples.
